Dojo Etiquette

Our Instructors are required to have a minimum of ten years experience of karate-do, displayed the desire and ability to communicate the discipline, techniques, philosophies and benefits of traditional Shotokan Karate-do in a manner consistent with S.K.I.F. tradition.

The Scottish Karate National Karate Governing Body (formerly the Scottish Karate Board) awards the government and Scottish Sports Council recognised National Instructors Qualification on the basis of a proper accredited Dan(black belt) certification, several National Coaching Foundation modules, a first aid qualification, a Scottish Criminal Records Office background check and proper instructors indemnity. Thus ensuring experience, competance and dedication.
